It was the best of times…
Yeah, that’s about it. The best of times. The first night was cooooooold. Then, gradually it warmed to the point where many people were at the waterfront, boating, taking walks, playing volleyball and laying out in the sun. I didn’t attend any workshops until the last day when I went to Mahan Kirn’s Sat Nam Rasayan workshop. If you want to know a true healer walking on this planet, with powers that come from beyond time and space is like, take a class with her or schedule a private session. She’s amazing. (more…)

When I first started, my right arm would fall asleep and I'd sweat like hell. The first day, after 31 minutes I collapsed forward, my legs fast asleep, I had to crawl forward and turn over. Then as I lay there, I got the chills, even covered with a blanket. After some practice though I began to notice great things.
Prana is the life force in the air you breathe. In the east it’s known as ‘the breath within the breath.’ The breath of life. Prana contains the life force, which is transferred to you when you breathe. It’s much more than simply a combination of oxygen, nitrogen and other chemical components. It’s the subtle universal force that is in all things. Some believe that in Christianity, when they speak of ‘the holy ghost,’ they’re speaking about the subtle force of prana.
Prana can heal you. Conscious breath exercise brings you into a centered state of relaxation.
You take your first breath when you’re born and you breathe your last breath when you leave the body. If that’s not a clue as to the important of the breath, I don’t know what else is.
When you breathe properly and your lungs fill completely, they push down on the u-shaped muscle of the diaphragm. (more…)
